Target Audience
All Advances in Clinical Education courses are appropriate for all health care providers involved in the management of orthopedic pathology across the lifespan. It is assumed that the participant will have a general familiarity with the topic area in order to focus upon increased understanding and application of the material. In addition, individuals working with prevention and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle with find the information being presented in each course invaluable. Our goal is to maintain a low faculty / student ratio (1:20) to enhance the overall learning experience that meets or exceeded all recommended continuing education guidelines.
Scope of Practice: Course content is not intended for use by participants outside of the regulatory scope of practice of their license(s). Participants are responsible for knowing what lies within their professional scope of practice.

Education Credit For Courses:
Advances in Clinical Education is approved as a provider of continuing education by numerous national agencies and routinely applies for continuing education credits for professionals from state agencies on an as needed basis, when required. As part of Advances in Clinical Education’s mission to promote and facilitate continuing excellence in clinical education, we are continually in the process of seeking approval as a provider of continuing education through new agencies for professionals.
There are many national, state and local licensing boards and professional organizations that will grant continuing education credit for attendance at Advances in Clinical Education courses. Advances in Clinical Education provides each participant with a certificate of completion upon receipt of payment and successful completion of the educational offering and evaluation form. Certificates are given out at the end of each course. Please save your course brochure and certificate of completion and contact your own board or organization for specific filing requirements to obtain approval.
Please check the specific seminar you are interested in attending for a list of approval information relating to that seminar. All courses are pre-approved for PT continuing education credit within the state the seminar is taught when pre-approval is required. Advances in Clinical Education (BOC AP#P551) is approved the the Board of Certification, Inc. to provide continuing education to Athletic Trainers. This program is eligible for a maximum 16 EBP Category hours/CEU's. AT's should only claim those hours actually spent in the educational program.
Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy Assistants:
This course is offered for 1.6 AOTA CEUs. The assignment of AOTA CEUs does not imply endorsement of specific course content, products, or clinical procedures by AOTA. AOTA Educational level Intermediate, Category 1: Domain of OT, 2: Occupational Therapy Process.
Physical Therapy / Physical Therapy Assistants:
This program has been approved by the Federation of State Board of Physical Therapy for 18 CCUs. This educational offering qualifies for 16 continuing education hours as required state licensing boards. This program will be submitted for approval to the state licensing board if not already recognized by FSBPT or other PT jurisdiction. CERTIFICATES – EDUCATIONAL OFFERING COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS:
Certificates will be awarded upon receipt of payment and successful completion of the educational offering. Participants must pay the tuition fee, sign in, attend the entire seminar, complete an evaluation and sign out in order to receive a certificate of completion. In some cases, a competency worksheet must also be completed. Participants not fulfilling these requirements will not receive a certificate of completion. Failure to sign in or out will also result in forfeiture of credit for the entire seminar.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Courses without an Online Component
Live event fees are non-refundable within 14 days of the live event. Live event fees may be applied to a future event within the following year. If canceled with more than 14 days notice, the live event fee less $50 will be refunded. There is no refund for fees for pre-course online videos where applicable. Access to these videos is available as soon as the purchase is made and is non-refundable. Canceling the live course does not terminate access to the videos and other online information. In the unlikely event the seminar sponsor and/or host must cancel an event in its entirety, registrants may choose to receive a refund of live event fees or credit toward a future event.
Courses with an Online Component
Purchase of the online portion of this course is non-refundable. Live event fees are non-refundable within 14 days of the live event. Live event fees may be applied to a future event within the following year. If canceled with more than 14 days notice, the live event fee is 100% refundable. In the unlikely event the seminar sponsor and/or host must cancel an event in its entirety, registrants may choose to receive a refund of live event fees or credit toward a future event.
Course Cancellations:
Unfortunately, cancellations may occur at the last minute due to travel delays, weather, or instructor sickness. We make every effort to contact all of the pre-registered attendees with a confirmation number and contact information prior to the seminar. If we have no contact information for you, we cannot inform you – this is why we request your phone and fax numbers, as well as email address.
WAIVER OF LIABILITY
All practical exercises and testing performed throughout this course are entirely OPTIONAL. By registering and attending this event, you agree to assume full responsibility for personal injury to yourself and further release the seminar sponsor and/or host from any injury, loss or damage that may arise from the use of this facility whether caused by yourself or the seminar sponsor and/or host.
