Jason is the lead Physical Therapist for Midwest Orthopedic Institute (MOI) at the Sandwich Clinic located in Sandwich, IL. His primary responsibility includes the direct patient care of a wide variety of patient types but he specializes in the treatment of shoulder, elbow, and knee pathologies. He is also owner of Sport and Biomechanical Innovations (SBI), a business focused on enhancing the performance and health of throwing athletes of all levels. Jason has been fortunate to work closely with professional baseball over the past 5 years, having coordinated the off-season conditioning and training for a number of MLB pitchers. He has applied this knowledge and experience more locally at the youth, high school, and collegiate levels and is a consultant with the Northern Illinois University athletic training department.
More generally, Jason is an overall movement enthusiast, having spent the last 3 years expanding his study of movement disciplines such as olympic lifting, kettlebell training, and gymnastics and incorporates these principles into his treatment plans and training programs. He also uses movement screens such as the FMS (Functional Movement Screen) and SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment) to better quantify movement and dysfunction. Areas of clinical research interest include the kinetics and kinematics of throwing and balance.
